Branding the premiere Virtual Reality developer conference.
Oculus Connect is an annual developer conference where VR game developers and content creators come together to learn about the latest in Oculus hardware, software, and technology in development. OC6 saw more than 3,500 individually invited developers, press and select consumers attend the 3-day event.
Building on the Oculus brand, the team created a bespoke design language that was special to OC6. From branding to environmental graphics, web, social, swag, motion graphics and more.

Branding & Design Language
At OC6, this was the first time in a few years that we wouldn’t have a big hardware announcement. With VR being ready for primetime, our messaging framework was ‘The Time is Now’. Bringing high energy, bright colors and a bit of flare, we developed an extendible design language that painted the halls of the Convention Center and anchored us with a solid language throughout every touch point of the event.


Environmental Graphics
To make the badge more useful than just a display of your name, we used the logo to trigger an AR based map of the event space. Users could swipe through event areas to know exactly what was going on where throughout the day.

Motion Graphics
Bringing to life the rich textures and colors in our design language, we used motion graphics all through the event space. Starting with the 28 foot LCD screen that was the backdrop for all announcements through the keynote.

Registration Website
One of the first touch points attendees will have with the brand is the website where they will apply for registration, learn about speakers, sessions and have the ability to create their itinerary.

For each of the 3 days of OC6, we created a recap video to use on social and other outlets outlining the days events and what was announced.
